Roddy Frame (born January 29, in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, Scotland) is the founder of the s Scottish indie band, Aztec tadansidclibduecu.blogutcenfenomsirubnogacosdioma.infoinfo released their first album, High Land, Hard Rain, when Frame was aged tadansidclibduecu.blogutcenfenomsirubnogacosdioma.infoinfo spawned the hit single Oblivious, and Aztec Camera were recognised as one of the key acts on Glasgow's Postcard record label, along with Orange Juice and Josef K.
The use of Seven Dials lyrically and as an album title is a snug glove fit here – so many roads to choose from a single central point, no idea which to take. In fact the album could be perceived as Frame’s version of a choose your own adventure book – projecting possibilities onto the paths he could have taken from one single moment.

Aug 08, · HUGE Roddy Frame fan here. I've heard the new album, but need to let it sink in more. I thought "Surf" was stunning. Probably my second favorite after "High Land, Hard Rain." I also love "Stray." "Seven Dials" isn't grabbing me immediately, but I'm used to Roddy's songs needing time to work their way into my head. It's certainly a mellow, low.
tadansidclibduecu.blogutcenfenomsirubnogacosdioma.infoinfo The second solo album by the former Aztec Camera songwriter is as lo-fi as they come: Surf is Roddy Frame's voice, and Frame's acoustic guitar, recorded in Frame's front room. From a lesser singer, guitarist and songwriter--which is to say, just about any singer, guitarist or songwriter--this might have resulted in a work that was tiresomely monochromatic, or indigestibly ascetic/5(38).
